Global Outreach and Understanding

Faculty Exchange The International Experience Professors and students exchange ideas and fellowship in China, Brazil, and South Africa Professor Getty's Journal Carol Getty, an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice, taught in Taiwan as part of her sabatical. Professor Koudou selected to the Fulbright Scholar Program Nicolas Koudou will spend nine months in the Republic of Benin, located on the western coast of Africa, researching and teaching.

Throughout its 130-year history, Park University has maintained a rich tradition of international programs and activities. Today, Park is a center for excellence and innovation in global education. Park's international programs include:

  Assists approximately 450 students from 91 countries.
• International Student Admissions Guide
  Learn about admissions requirements for international students.
• Office of International Affairs and Education
  Prepares students to become globally literate citizens.
• The International Center for Civic Engagement
  Advances the University’s global mission, establish linkages with international efforts across campus, and provides innovative educational opportunities for learners within the global society, while establishing an outlet for channeling community outreach efforts in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
• The International Center for Music
  Fosters the exchange of master teacher/performers, renowned young musicians, and music programs from countries across the globe.
• English as International Language (EIL@Park)
  Provides English as a second or other language classes for Park students.
• The Center for Economic Understanding and Entrepreneurship
  Builds upon the diverse nature of Park University’s student body and its focus on educating members of the global community. This Center will be a "think tank" that will engage faculty, students and professionals in order to generate solutions to problems faced on the local, regional, national and international levels.
